People trust their eyes above all else -- but most people see what they wish to see, or what they believe they should see; not what is really there. A quote by Zoë Marriott, Shadows on the Moon.
A Rainy Day In The Fall
Fall season in the park - by Vilas Shete |
It is a fall season. And today happens to be a rainy day.
Leaves are everywhere. It will rot and later generate nutrients that will become fertilizer for the tree.
It is a life cycle and the tree keeps growing season by season.
A year ago I was walking this route alone. Today I have a companion. Someone I love very much. Next year, maybe we walk the path with a third person.
God willing, he or she will be a new kid on the block.
Brain Storm or a Brain Tree?
Looking at a beautiful scenery through the garden. I can see a bird, flowers, and a crawling vegetation on the wall with flowers.
And a tree.
There is no storm outside. The day is clear and very peaceful.
Somehow something reminds me of a biology class I took several years ago.
A person’s brain filled with knowledge, experience, and wisdom can see things beyond what a normal pair of eyes can see.
A Lonely Day in the Field
Working alone with your computer through the night? Hearing crickets trying to sooth you down?
Trying to get your online business up and running?
You may be thinking that your world is as small as your 4-corner room.
Ask Scott DeLong about being lonely. He makes millions of dollars in few short years by mastering the vast field and opportunities from the internet.
Keep on digging and stand strong just as what this tree is doing. It is there for a reason. Otherwise it could have been chopped off.
It’s is OK to be a one man entrepreneur when you know what you are doing and where you are going.
A Horse or a bunch of Trees?
We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are - Anais Nin.
By logic through the eyes, this is a picture or painting depicting a bunch of trees. Added with imagination it becomes a horse.
A person’s background and what he likes will determine what he sees in something.
A problem to others is an opportunity to him.
Look Can Surely Be Deceiving
Look at the big picture, what do you see? This is typical call from a businessman or entrepreneurs.
Wow... That’s a picture of a beautiful lady!!!
To businessmen, they look at how things can make them richer or more successful.
To an artist, a chemist (like me), and engineers we look very much into the details.
We want to know what’s inside. What make things works. How it works and why it works.
The left picture consists of several flying birds going to the nest where baby birds are screaming for the food.
On the right side, it is made up of few stalk of flowers and a butterfly.
Having these components of life and put them at the right time and place a new things (opportunities) will emerge. That’s how life evolve.
And it takes someone with knowledge, skill, experience, and insight how to benefits from what’s available around them.
Hidden Objects or Motives

Man is not what he shows off but what his objectives are.
Or as said by André Malraux, man is not what he thinks he is, he is what he hides.
And a person’s true objectives are often hidden. What being shown or voiced out is something you want to hear or see only.
Same as this picture. On the broad outlook it is just a tree.
For sure it has been circulating around the world through the internet several times. Yes… very famous.
There are 10 faces in the tree. At least 9. Some are large and clear while some are intricately hidden among the branches.
You may even recognize some of them. Can you?
Everyone wants to take care of him/herself. There are times they are open to us but there times their objectives are completely hidden.
We are shown the beautiful picture or benefit of something. Some are truly beneficial but some we need to be very careful with.
Creativity

There is not much I can say about this picture.
If it really is a tree, the cameraman who took the picture must be very observant about what goes around, around him.
So… you really think that this is a real tree or just a Photoshoped picture?
Whatever it is... the creativity is there. Make one if you can. Viral it and make some money. Don't be a hater and only good at complaining.
What Makes A Painting So Expensive?
Leonardo Da Vinci, Pablo Picasso and Van Gogh are some of the big names in the art and paintings. Their artworks can fetch millions of dollars in real money, not just through arbitrary valuation.
Yes… it is a digital copy of Van Gogh work. And the retail price of the original painting is at a staggering USD 5.4 million.
And that USD 5.4 million can surely help plenty of people, particularly the homeless. And those in need of some kind.
I just can’t comprehend what makes this ugly looking panting to fetch that kind of a price.
Yes to me it is ugly… and I am entitled to my own opinion. You may have yours and you can keep it to yourself. Or you can write a comment in the box below. Share it if you care.
Life as an Art Can Be Entertaining But at the Same Time Confusing
Mat Kilau Jr. - Shidie Art FB |
Businessmen look for opportunities. And there are plenty of it if we can see through, normally hidden by obstacles.
And the biggest obstacle is our own mindset.
For a successful businessman, as long as he sees (often through vision) something with value (real or intrinsic) he will try to make a profit out of it.
The profit can be in monetary form or something intangible, but highly valuable for business growth.
It can be short term but often takes years for big ones. Do you have the mental toughness to go for a big one?
The mindset will determine whether someone’s trash is a gem or someone’s treasure is a trash.
We all have a different background and circles of friends (influence) that cultivate our mindset. Our perspective and objective are all different.
These differences make life interesting but also at times, more confusing. Depending on who you are.
